Hippies on a Log Snack

Husband-Tested Recipe from Alice's Kitchen

Here's a snack that's a take on Ants on a Log where you spread peanut butter on celery sticks and then stick raisins atop the peanut butter/celery log.  These make a great snack for after a workout or to add to your lunchbox. Here's how to make them:

Rinse and trim celery sticks.  Cut into serving size pieces.  (I cut them into approximately 3-inch pieces, perfect for two bites.)  Spread some peanut butter or almond butter on each celery piece.  Spread some of your favorite granola on a pie plate or shallow dish.  Press the nut butter side down into the granola. The granola will stick to the nut butter.  And there you have it!  You can use Homemade Balamku Granola OR my favorite packaged granola "New England Naturals Organic High Protein Unsweetened 5 Seed Granola Apples & Raisins."
